Writing Dialogue

“Every person you meet, their history and place they’re from is informing every syllable coming out of their mouth…I’m going to listen to the song of everyone’s history & place and become a connoisseur of it.”(4:38)

Dialogue is a unique art form that any writer can master. In this episode, Roxan and Desi discuss how verbal dialogue is a small percentage of communication and how nonverbal communication can make our scenes believable and telling. They also share tips and exercises to liven up the dialogue in our stories.
